The future of Wind and Solar SCADAs
With the world moving ever faster towards green energy, its time to have the quality and functionality of today's technology to view and control our wind/solar farms and substations. HighDef SCADA will do that and more, with co-functions to and from on-site technicians. Techs can select towers they will be or are working at and Operators will see the towers go into repair live or any planned working time breakdown affecting wind power production with projecting wind speeds. Operators can connect with on-call techs directly with push button notifications of which towers are down to meet call-out criteria. Along with many other features being worked on.
This project is being developed for remotely accessing data, controlling wind farms and solar sites. Thanks to Unreal Engine 4’s power, we are moving well towards our goal to make a living breathing Supervisory Control and Data Acquisition software that give visual representation of all the tower functions, all the live weather and wind simulations, high quality visuals as close to 'looking through a window' as UE4 will allow, and high analytical input that will aid in the best performance for any wind turbine or solar panel.  Alongside the PC application, we are making a mobile app for technicians in the field for notification of which towers they will be working on that day as well as full 3D schematics for the tower/solar panel/substation they will be working on. We are also working on AR for this mobile part to increase visual troubleshooting, as well as visually planning wind farms long before they are constructed in place. Safety
HighDef VR training is a work in progress training software for high voltage technician workers. The increase for clean energy has increased demand for substation switching. Training for this would usually be done in the field during live events, which are rare and very dangerous. This VR software would allow technicians to train as often as needed in a truly safe environment.
